Born in New York and educated at the Art Institute of San Francisco, Lauri Koseff creates paintings that weave together themes of spirituality, nature, and everyday life. Her work explores humanity’s interconnected relationship with the natural world through recurring symbolic imagery, including abstracted baskets, birds of prey, landscapes, and luminous halos. 

These visual motifs serve as metaphors for connection, protection, transformation, and belonging, inviting viewers to reflect upon the unseen relationships that shape human experience. 

As the former owner and director of Gallery 12 in Napa Valley, California, Koseff cultivated a deep appreciation for emerging artists and contemporary Bay Area art. Drawing from both her New York roots and the landscapes and cultural history of the American West, her paintings explore the universal search for meaning within an interconnected world.
